hold regular meetings at Burley in Wharfedale (Salem Church Hall)
and Threshfield (Village Institute) with speakers on related topics
and carry out project work to benefit present and future generations of
historians.
Our quarterly journal, The Wharfedale Newsletter, includes
articles, information and advice for both the beginner and more experienced
member. We are always pleased to have articles to include in the journal
and these can be sent by e-mail directly to
Any item, either on your own family history or about family history in
general, no matter how small, will be considered.
The group holds copies of various research aids including the International
Genealogical Index and the 1881 census index on microfiche.
Meetings
are held on the first Thursday of each month at Burley Salem Church Hall,
opposite the Queens Hall, starting at 7.30pm and on the third Saturday
of each month at the Village Institute, Threshfield, starting at 2.30pm.
A speaker is normally arranged for these dates.

library from which members may borrow books and a bookstall selling family
